Two tables, one coach. Learn solid blackjack heads-up against the dealer, or train for an elimination tournament where chip position beats the dealer. Pick where you sit:
Tip: the coach grades every move — tap Terms? in the Coach panel if a word is new.
Every starting hand has one mathematically best play against each dealer up-card — hit, stand, double or split. The Standard table's coach grades you on it in real time and explains the why. Get to ~100% accuracy here and you've cut the house edge to a fraction of a percent before any counting.
Card counting just tracks whether the shoe is rich in tens and aces (good for you) or low cards (good for the dealer). The Hi-Lo trainer keeps a running count as cards come out, converts it to a true count per deck remaining, and quizzes you — turn the readout off and check yourself.
In the Tournament table you're not trying to beat the dealer — you're trying to out-stack the players at your table before the cut. That flips decisions: bet tiny when ahead, swing big when behind, and read rivals' bets when you act late. Basic strategy is still your backbone; you deviate on purpose.
Default to the book on every hand — the coach shows it. Insurance is a long-term money-loser, so decline it unless a tournament spot demands staying correlated with a rival. The discipline you build heads-up is exactly what carries over when the format changes.
Practice tool only — outcomes are simulated and don't predict real results. Basic-strategy, counting and bet-sizing guidance is general educational information, not a guarantee. Play responsibly; if it stops being fun, call or text 1-800-GAMBLER.
